Description

Welcome to our online CSTF Safeguarding Children Level 2 & Level 3 training package. All our online training courses, programmes and qualifications are accredited by the CPD Certification Service (CPDUK).

The development of children and young people depends on creating a safe and nurturing environment. Children and young people have a right to be protected from abuse, neglect, and bad treatment by their parents and anyone who looks after them. Workers in health and social care settings must report any suspected abuse or concerns about a child or young person’s welfare. Developing supportive and trusting relationships between children, their families, and healthcare staff is key to effective safeguarding management.

This training package covers safeguarding children training for health and social care workers at levels 2 and 3, where it meets the learning outcomes of the UK Core Skills Training Framework (UKCSTF) v1.1.

Why is this online CSTF Safeguarding Children Level 2 & Level 3 training package essential?

Every child has rights, regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, language, abilities or status. The United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child is in place to protect children. It is important that all those coming into contact with children and young people have a thorough knowledge of safeguarding issues and safeguarding procedures and a better understanding of their application in health and social care settings.

Healthcare staff must exercise professional judgement regarding children and young people’s safety and welfare. Healthcare organisations must ensure that all staff who might be in contact with children or involved in their care are aware of and understand safeguarding issues.
