Why is this online CSTF Safeguarding Adults Level 2 & Level 3 training package essential?

The health sector can positively contribute towards safeguarding those who are less able to protect themselves from harm, neglect or abuse. Central to effective safeguarding management are trusting and supportive relationships based upon dignity and respect between patients, their families and healthcare staff.

Therefore, healthcare organisations are responsible for ensuring people’s rights and dignity and meeting statutory duties to safeguard adults. This requires a systematic approach, effective leadership at all levels, and an organisational culture where care and compassion are valued.

In cases where individuals lack capacity, safeguards are in place to protect them. Sometimes, complex decisions are required to decide whether to take action in the public interest or whether the person is being coerced.
